Having to re- apply your eye shadow again and again is annoying, especially if you have got a lot of things on your hands like going to school while having a job.
Putting it on when it does not even look presentable just ruins its whole
purpose of beautification.
But is there anything you can do, or something to
put on beforehand that can help your eye make up last longer that it usually does?
Actually there is and it what people call eye primers.
Eye primers should be the first layer when doing your eye make up. What this does is it gives the eye lids a good, clean palette that can absorb the eye shadow better.
It allows the
eye make up to stay on longer, be less inclined to smudging and prevents the
eye shadow from fading.
Spread the eye primer evenly on the eye lids to be able to let the eye shadow you put on next to have a solid base. Blend it nicely and you are done. You will notice that not only does the eye primer allow a longer lasting effect but it also prevents the eye shadow from cracking.
This avoids the embarrassing build up residue that usually accumulates in the corners of the eyes.

In using an eye primer, make sure that the one you are about to use goes with your skin tone.
If you use one which is lighter or darker, you will get more attention to the obvious discoloration rather than the longevity of your eye make up.
Next thing to do is scrub your face clean. This will rid your face of any dirt that it has accumulated. Also do not forget to clean your fingers too before applying the make up because you will be using them in putting on the eye primer.
Of course you would not want to irritate your eyes and contaminating the primer you just spent for right? If you prefer using a cosmetic sponge, you also have to keep in mind that it has to be clean and germ free.
You should disinfect it by washing it before and after use to be made sure that no bacteria has stuck to it. With your finger or sponge, start applying the primer gently on your eye lid. Start from the inner corner of the eye and move towards the opposite end. You have to prime not only your lid, but all the way to the eyebrows.
Let it set for awhile and choose the best eye shadow that can compliment your outfit for the day. When it has dried, just put on your eye make up and your all set for a long lasting, smudge and crease- free eye shadow.
